Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively we should all make sure that our approach is child-centred. This means that we should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child. At Sir John Hunt our pastoral team are the first point of contact for students who are feeling that things are not going well in their life. The contents of these safeguarding pages are here to provide additional resources to support our students and also for parents and carers to gain support for children.
