Year 9 Mentoring Project

Year 9 are halfway through our mentoring programme run by our Enterprise Advisor, Simon Francis. The programme aims to raise aspirations, broadening a students’ horizons and career goals. Whilst also developing their skills, knowledge, and personal attributes in line with the requirement of today’s world of work.

The last session had everyone in fits of laughter. Working in teams, the students were tasked with making a cup triangle using only string and an elastic band. The group used team skills, communication and problem solving to successfully create their pyramid.

The students have three more sessions booked in with Simon over the remainder of the year. The next will be focusing on finances and linking it to todays world of work.
