Year 5 Values Day

In June we welcomed Year 5 students to the Sir John Hunt campus. The aim of the day is for the visitors to get a feel for what life at SJH is like whilst enjoying some different lessons across the day. On offer was English, Maths and Science lessons, as well as History, Music, Art and PE.

As well as meeting some of the staff throughout the day, our young visitors met our Values Ambassadors from Year 10. These students have been picked because across the academic year they have consistently demonstrated our core values; Endeavour, Ambition and Respect.

Over the day, the ambassadors had a variety of roles. This included leading the sports sessions, having recently proven that they were excellent sports leaders as part of their Sports Studies course. The other roles included assisting the teachers, transporting the Year 5 students around the college, and looking after any staff that accompanied the pupils from their Primary schools.

Our Values Ambassadors did a great job over the day, and have had high praise from both the pupils and the staff of our visiting primary schools, Whitleigh, Woodfield, Oakwood and Widewell.
