On the 22nd February the Year 10 geography students visited Duchy College to experience some of the vocational opportunities they have, after leaving Sir John Hunt. Students were involved in a range of activities during the day including equine, animal management, construction, conservation and many more. The students were excellent during the day and enjoyed experiencing something new. Many of them have asked if they could go back again, to have a taster of some different courses.
Geography Club
During the past term, Students have been involved in creating an ecosystem in a box. A range of students from Year 7 to Year 9 got crafty and constructed their own ecosystems in a shoe box with recycling materials. We had ocean scenes, jungle scenes and some city scenes. We have also spent time understanding these ecosystems by watching documentaries and completing quizzes.
