Superkids!

Last week the Superkids visited Obedair construction site at Boringdon Hall. Apart from being slightly muddier than we expected, it was great to visit a big construction site and for the students to learn about the different jobs on site and how much planning goes into building something.

In Boringdon Hall’s new extension, we all became a part of history when we signed one of the beams in one of the rooms. Sadly, we were not allowed to stay there whilst the luxury rooms were being finished! We will have to wait for our next visit, to see them completed in August.

It was a great experience for the students and they were a credit, once again, to the school. One student was so engaged and polite that they were picked out of the group to do work experience with the company, in the next few months. In fact, they were offered to apply for an apprenticeship - albeit just a bit too soon!
