South West Coastal Monitoring

In the Sixth Form we had a visit from Coastal Process Scientist, Joshua Webborn, who works for South West Coastal Monitoring. The students learnt about how the coastal environment is monitored and protected in the South West of England.
It was an interesting talk, discussing the different types of monitoring used from LiDAR Surveys, Ariel Photography and Laser Scanning.

As we had so much interest from a number of our students, we are hoping to secure work experience placements for some of them in the near future.
