Sir John Hunt Community Sports College was delighted to welcome over 650 guests to this year’s Open Evening and Open Morning events, as families from across the city came to see what makes our College such a vibrant and inspiring place to learn.
Visitors from 18 different primary schools joined us to explore our facilities, meet our dedicated staff, and experience the unique sense of community that defines life at Sir John Hunt. From interactive subject demonstrations and engaging student-led tours to inspiring talks from our Principal, the enthusiasm and curiosity shown by prospective students and their families made both events truly special.
The overwhelming response has been reflected in this year’s admissions figures. By Monday 6th of October, the College had already received over 200 applications for just 160 available places, meaning Sir John Hunt is once again oversubscribed for another year.
I would therefore recommend that if you would like your son or daughter to come to Sir John Hunt Community Sports College for their secondary school career that you do not delay. The deadline for applications for secondary schools in Plymouth is Friday the 31st of October. Applications are made via the Plymouth City Council website, a link to which can be found here:
