Sixth Form Board Game Society

This year our school has introduced, 'Societies to Sixth Form during Champions’ Hour. Taking advantage of this, I decided to create a society based on board and card games. In this society we relax and play games that we enjoy and make us laugh (although it can get very competitive from time to time)! I enjoy this society because I get to spend time with my friends. It also helps release stress after having exams and mocks.

A current group favourite would be the card game, Exploding Kittens. In this card game you try to avoid being detonated by an exploding kitten when drawing cards from the deck-but you won't be able to tell if you’ve blown up until you've picked up the card from the deck! There are support cards that stop you from picking up a card or to see and alter the future cards. There are also attack cards that make another player pick up 2 cards in a row which can be very intimidating when there are only a few cards left in the deck. As one of our favourite card games, I would heavily recommend this game for the family over Christmas to introduce fun and competitiveness for everyone.
