Plymouth Patriots

This term in Personal Development we were lucky enough to have Plymouth Patriots visit to talk about equality and diversity. Basketball player, Briceny Lomeka spoke about his journey to Plymouth Patriots, barriers he has had to overcome and also his personal experiences of racial profiling within the police and other organisations.

Our Year 7’s asked questions that were really respectful and thoughtful. Ben Fox, the Community Coach said that the questions asked, were the best they had heard so far. We hope to build on this relationship with Plymouth Patriots and have them visit school again to deliver more equality and diversity sessions.
