On the 14th of February, an exciting event, “Reconciliation”, took place on the Livewire stage, courtesy of Sir John Hunt Sixth Form students.
They skilfully exhibited an array of songs spanning from the 1950s to the present day. Year 13 music students: Kiera, Blake, Ashleigh, Archie, Tallulah and Megan orchestrated, performed and supervised the evening, receiving impressive feedback.
The setlist included classics like ‘Johnny B Goode’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’, and ‘Jolene’, moving through the decades to more recent hits like ‘Runaway Baby’ and ‘Kiwi’. Year 12 students Romana, Morgan and Drew also lent their talents with tunes, ‘Purple Haze’, ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Human’.
The successful night concluded with the profits donated to the Livewire Charity.
We extend our gratitude to Mr Cleverley, Mr Walker, and Mr Truscott for their support in the Sixth Formers' spectacular event, and Mr Kirk for transportation and filming assistance.
Special thanks to Whitleigh Big Local for making the event possible through a grant, and special thanks to Mrs Bevan, Ms Williams and Mr Dunkerley for coming along to show their support to the students. A final word of appreciation to Andy Rance for providing his exceptional venue.
Congratulations to the performers, particularly the Year 13's, for staging such a successful event.
