LaunchPad Live

On Friday 23rd September we took a number of our Year 10 and 11 students to Launchpad Live.

Held at Plymouth Argyle the event aimed to encourage students to start engaging with what they will do once they’ve finished their GCSE's. Exhibitors gave the students plenty of opportunities to try things out. They tried plastering, making a carpenters joint, styling hair, welding using virtual reality and some even got dressed up in full police riot gear!

The students were well behaved and because of this a few Year 10’s were lucky enough to meet some Plymouth Argyle players - which they were really happy about!

It was a great experience for the students and hopefully has got them thinking about their educational options post GCSE’s.

We are hoping to expand on this experience and bring some of the exhibitors into school for our own careers fair and other opportunities.
