It has been a fantastic term once again for our Football Development Programme, with plenty of fixtures and training taking place throughout this half term. The Year 7’s have had an impressive start to their central venue fixtures beating the likes of Eggbuckland, St Bonifaces, Devonport High School for Boys all on one match night. The players have been outstanding in their efforts and attitudes towards improving as individuals and as a team. Since September they have come on leaps and bounds as a team and we still have some more fixtures to play between now and May so are hoping to see them playing even better football than they have so far this season. The Year 8’s have continued to make progress and have played in central venue fixtures and some friendly games this term showing great resilience at times whilst playing some good football in the process.
Finally the Year 9’s have faired well in training, central venue fixtures and during schools friendly matches. The highlights this term have come in the form of beating MAP 3-2 away from home in what has become a friendly rivalry and also performing excellently at home beating Millbay Year 10’s 6-0 in which there were outstanding performances all over the pitch. We will still be continuing our training and fixtures schedule throughout the summer term. Well done to all teams throughout this term!
