7th Heaven for Year 8 Football!

A fantastic first game of the season for the Year 8’s saw them run out 7-3 winners against a hard working All Saints team. Captain Baker stole the show with 4 goals and an assist but the whole team were excellent on a very wet pitch!

Connor started the scoring in the fifth minute, after breaking down the left-hand side and calmly slotting home into the bottom right corner. Connor was involved again, by playing through Baker to finish under the keeper in the eighth minute, making it 2-0. Baker then made it 3-0 in the 15th minute, finishing off a great team move from Jack, with a defence splitting pass! YMCA pulled one back before Baker completed his hattrick just before half time scoring from an Archie pass. Max made two excellent 1 on 1 saves before YMCA scored their second goal of the day. Year 7 pupil Liam scored 10 minutes after half time to put some daylight between the teams after some good work by the hardworking Lewis. The score was made more convincing in the 65th minute, when some good possession resulted in Connor squaring for Baker to smash into an empty net!
