As our first round of Year 11 mock exams come to an end, the focus next week will be on deciding their options and next steps after GCSEs. To support Year 11 in these important decisions, the Sixth Form team have organised an assembly on Monday 20th November followed by a series of Information sessions which will run during Period 0, Period 7 and in some Year 11 lessons next week. The aim of these sessions are to give an overview of the range of courses we offer in Sixth Form at SJH and the pathways, careers, university courses and higher level apprenticeships that Sixth Form supports.
Once these sessions are complete, the Year 11 tutor team will be supporting the Sixth Form 'Initial ideas survey' which will be completed on Friday 24th November during period 0. Year 11 will then be invited to attend full taster sessions in up to five subjects in January, which will help them make their final choices shortly after our Sixth Form Options evening which is on Thursday January 25th. If any parents would like to request a meeting to discuss Sixth Form options, you can do so by completing our meeting request form
We have a fantastic range of courses and options for students at SJH Sixth Form and a proven track record of success and outstanding pastoral support.
