We’ve had a great year for Year 10 work experience, with all students either completing a 5-day work experience placement or having a workplace experience in school.
Student gained valuable insight into the world of work across a broad range of industries and roles such as Babcock, where students had the opportunity to explore roles within engineering. Drakes Den, where students engaged with families and children improving their communication skills. Aramark, where students worked in a fast-paced catering business, working as part of a team to ensure customers were fed delicious food . Primary schools and nurseries, where students worked with young children, engaging in lots of activities such as helping children learn to read or just getting messy during craft! Various trades, where students gained practical hand-on experiences and a real taste of working in a skilled trade.
Students demonstrated enthusiasm, professionalism, and a willingness to learn, earning positive feedback from employers and gaining confidence in real-world settings. These successful placements have provided students with lasting skills and clarity as they begin thinking about their futures in education and employment. We are proud of what Year 10 students have achieved.
