Year 10 Post-16 information sessions

Year 10 students have attended Personal Development sessions with the Sixth Form team over the last two weeks, which allowed them to ask as many questions as they could about what Sixth Form at SJH involves and the pathways open to them in the coming years. These sessions formed part of the Year 10 Personal Development curriculum and were held over in the Sixth Form centre.

The students had an opportunity to get a feel for Sixth Form study sessions, the Sixth Form centre and about the additional freedoms and responsibilities that our Year 12 and 13 students have. These sessions, which build on similar sessions with our Year 9s, have been a huge success and the Sixth Form team were extremely impressed with the questions students asked, the interest they showed in Post-16 pathways and some of the fantastic ideas and aspirations they have for their next steps. We are looking forward to working with the Year 10s as they move into Year 11 and as they choose their pathways after GCSEs.
