Southway Memorial Trust Bursary

This year the Southway Community College Memorial Trust presented cheques of £400 to Lola, Madison, Erin, Cicely and Ashton. These bursaries are awarded annually in memory of the four Southway students, who lost their lives in a canoeing tragedy in 1993. These bursaries are to support students in their next steps in education.

These five students presented the strongest applications stating clearly how the award would help them in the next stage of their lives.

We wish them well in their next steps - an apprenticeship and continuing their Sixth Form studies.
