Sixth Form visit to Marjons University

Our Sixth Form students had a fantastic opportunity to explore higher education and potential career pathways during a recent visit to Marjon University. Split into two groups, students took part in a series of hands-on sessions across nursing, criminology, and speech and language therapy. They experienced simulated clinical environments, explored real-life criminal justice scenarios, and learned about the skills involved in speech and language therapy. These interactive workshops gave students valuable insight into university-level study and careers in the health and social sciences.

In the afternoon, students attended a talk on apprenticeships and took part in a guided campus tour, including a look at the accommodation facilities. The day concluded with reflections and evaluations, giving students a chance to share what they’d learned and ask final questions. It was an engaging and informative visit that helped broaden their understanding of post-18 options and sparked real enthusiasm for the future.
