Recent Ofsted Visit

As part of Ofsted's aim to tell parents, government and the public about how schools are managing the return to full education of their pupils, the majority of whom have not been in school for more than 5 months due to the impact of COVID-19, they have been visiting around 1200 schools over the Autumn term.

Sir John Hunt was visited on 8th October by two inspectors who discussed the following key issues during some constructive discussions with the senior leadership team;

• any barriers that the school is facing in managing the return to opening fully
• how pupils are getting back into expected routines and their behaviour
• and the school’s safeguarding arrangements
• how remote learning fits into their wider curriculum plans.

The visit was very positive and it was an excellent opportunity to discuss the college with two experienced inspectors. We were happy with how the day progressed and on completing the visit the following letter was sent through which we would like to share with you.
