Christmas Sweet Treats

On Monday 28th November it was great to see so many Sir John Hunt parents and their children take part in the Christmas sweet treat workshop. It was a lovely evening, and many wonderful products were created.

An example of one of the recipes we used is below:

Holiday sweet wreaths

100g white chocolate
100g corn flakes
Green food colouring
Red sweets – like smarties or glace cherries

1. Melt white chocolate in the microwave, be careful it doesn’t burn
2. Dye the melted chocolate with green food colouring
3. Mix in the cornflakes, careful not to break them
4. On baking paper (on a tray) place a tablespoon of mixture and make a hole in the middle using the other end of your spoon – a wreath shape
5. Place on 3 red smarties or 3 half cherries
6. Place in chiller until set
