Character Education

At Sir John Hunt, the core values of 'Ambition, Endeavour and Respect' run through every facet of College life. We believe that these values cultivate the essential character traits that our students require to be happy and successful in education, in the world of work and in their personal lives.

Every term we run a Character Education competition in which students accrue points through:

• Weekly 100% attendance
• Weekly punctuality (no lates to school or lessons)
• Positive behaviour demonstrated in school, in line with our core values
• Homework completion

Students will then be ranked on their total points and their rank will determine which tier they finish in. This term, our focus has been on homework, with students gaining double points within this category.

For our Spring term rewards, the trips are as follows:

• Tier 1 students will go to Plymouth Karting and Laser Tag and our Year 11 students will go to Ready       Player One for the day.
• Tier 2 students will enjoy a couple of games of bowling at Ten Pin Plymouth.
• Tier 3 students will be able to attend the Adrenalin trampoline centre for a whole-venue hire                 session.

Student scores will reset in the next term, giving everyone an equal chance of getting into the tiers for the trips for the Summer term.
