A warm welcome - Induction Evening at SJH

Sir John Hunt CSC recently opened its doors to welcome 160 new Year 7 students and their families for a special Induction Evening, marking the beginning of an exciting step into secondary education here at the College.

The event was a fantastic success, filled with positivity, energy, and a strong sense of community. Families had the opportunity to explore the College, meet key members of staff, and begin building the connections that will support students throughout their time at Sir John Hunt.

A huge thank you goes to the dedicated teaching and support staff, who generously gave up their time to make the evening so welcoming and informative for our new Year 7 students and their families. Their commitment and passion were clear to see, and their efforts helped ensure that every family felt reassured, informed, and excited for September!

Equally impressive were our amazing student helpers whose involvement truly made the evening special. Whether guiding families around the school, sharing their own experiences, serving homemade Canapés to guests, or simply offering a friendly face, they were outstanding ambassadors for the College and set a shining example for our new cohort.
